Sports update…

Tanner Buck (7) scored four times in the Wolverines' opening 29-8 win at La Conner. FHHS faces Orcas tonight on-island.
Here’s the sports scene, at a glance:
• Youth soccer gets underway this weekend on Saturday, with most of the games here on-island…the younger teams all play between 9am-1pm over at the elementary school – see you there! Meanwhile, the FHHS girls are at Port Townsend.
• It’s the Orca Bowl! Tonight, Orcas comes to play the Wolverines – see you there!
• Volleyball kept it close at Coupeville the other night, losing with the scores at 25-9, 25-16, 23-25, 25-14…the girls are in Yakima for a tourney today & tomorrow.
• FHHS Tennis showed some spirit at Coupeville on Wednesday, with Zack Reitan & Hayden Place (number one doubles) and Ryan Cole & Elwyn Pratt (number two) winning.
• Cassie reports the youth football picture for this weekend:
The Junior Tigers play against LaConner there at 1:00pm and the Freshman Tigers play against Concrete there at 1:00pm. The Senior Tigers have a bye week! Thanks Ian! – Cassie Kurtz
