Food corner: What’s happening!

OK, I took a walk around & discovered amazing things – here’s my report:

Coho Restaurant has their Sushi Wednesdays underway – drop in today 11:30am-2:20pm & check it out! Anna Maria says, “Hope to see you tomorrow for sushi on Wednesday!

“There will be albacore sushimi and ebi along with spicey crab roll, smoked salmon, wild prawns and a yummy vegetarian roll with grilled tofu, daikon, carrots and green onions. The noodle soup is Yakisoba with onions, carrots, broccolini, bok choy, kale, red bells and noodles tossed with a ginger soy reduction….topped with marinated tofu and green onions.”

• I went to Backdoor Kitchen on Monday for Noodle Bowl Monday…it was, as usual, great. Plan for it next week…you’ll be glad you did!

• Week by week, I keep hearing what a super job Christine & Patrick are doing at Ernie’s Cafe…have you dropped by there lately?

• Looks like progress on the new restaurant that will rise in the old Ale House spot…I’ll try & get more info for you on that.

I dropped by the Golden Triangle on Monday night for a Japanese dinner...the food couldn't look/smell/taste better. That's halibut & more with tempura (left) and teriyaki chicken...it was great.

• Avon at the Golden Triangle started her three-day evening specials last week: Monday night features Japanese food, Tuesday night Vietnamese, and Wednesday night Laotian.  There will be 3 specials each night and they all include some type of soup, appetizer, salad, main course, and dessert.

Pies from Felicitations (by Felicity, of course)...order yours now!

When you check her Facebook page, you see that Felicity‘s skillset throws a wider net than wedding cakes…she has awesome pies! As the site says:

“What’s Thanksgiving without the best pie in town? Felicitations has flaky, rustic apple tart, traditional pumpkin pie, chocolate pecan pie and cranberry spice cake with maple cream cheese to take your Thanksgiving to a whole new level. Place your orders while you can! 317-5961!”
