New car in town….

Michelle & Nick & the new family car! It's all-electric!
Maybe it’s not the first on the island, but it’s the first I’d seen – Michelle & Michael Herko are the proud owners of a new Nissan Leaf, which is all-electric. That’s right – no muffler, no exhaust pipe, none of that stuff… Michelle tells me she can get about 100 miles off a charge, which can take from 3-7 hours & which she figures costs about $2.50. Says it’s got plenty of room in the back for sports gear & is heavy enough to feel comfortable on the road.
