Oompa pa! Remembering Oktoberfest 2011!

It was great to hear San Juan Island Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Tom Kirschner mention a couple of months ago that he wanted to pull together the Ocktoberfest celebration again…he helped spearhead the effort that pulled together the Kiwanis Club, Rotary Club, Lions Club and Medical Guild, as well as sponsors KIngs Market, Islanders Bank, Brownes Home Center, Ace Hardware, and San Juan Propane.
The goal: To put on a community event that brings people together – and with that, last weekend’s celebration pulled together over 350 folks for food & music & dancing & laughter. Success! It’d be great to see it again next year!
