Good article, good comments! I’d also like to point out that there are folks that live in this county that cannot afford a personal vehicle or can no longer safely operate one. We actually have a relatively large proportion on folks in these categories. Don’t forget our state sanctioned hitchhiking group, San Juan Rideshare! Thanks for bringing attention to our island-based car-free transportation solutions!

Hey, the best deal is San Juan Transit’s 20 rides pass for $40. I bought one for my son and he gets from town to his lawn mowing job way out Roche Harbor road. Dan says if you don’t use them up, he has to buy them back (State Transportation Law) but I plan to use them all one way or the other!
