Food for the Eaglets

wolf-hollow-logoWolf Hollow Needs Your Help! Only 3 days to go and we’re coming up short. We’ve created a crowd-funded campaign to help Wolf Hollow rehabilitate two Bald Eaglets. The main cost involved in raising these eaglets is FOOD – lots of it. They are big birds and need a lot of high quality food to grow and develop muscles and feathers well.

We feed them a range of foods including rats, quail, salmon, venison and beef. The salmon and beef are mostly donated and the venison is from road-kill deer, but we have to buy the rats and quail. They eat the equivalent of three rats a day at @ $2.00 apiece for around 7 months (we can’t take the rats from the wild as we don’t know what sort of environment they are from). And quail is even more expensive! So please help out if you can – even a buck or two. Click here to help.
