…at the San Juan County Fair, of course! The first fair was held in 1906 on the Friday Harbor waterfront and drew about 1,200 visitors. Now attendance is around 20,000. But who is this rider from decades ago? Is she still coming to the fair to cheer on today’s 4-H riders?

If you can identify the girl in this undated photo, please let us know. This image is in the San Juan Historical Museum’s archives and needs a name.

Editor’s Note: Update readers come through and identify her – She is Jodi Luft on Orcas Island – See comments below

  1. Jodi Luft on her horse domino. She responded when I posted to a group 4-H of 70’s 80’s on Facebook

  4. How exciting to get these responses. Thanks, everyone! Jodi, I sent you an email asking for identifying information we can add to the photo (year, your name at the time).
