Dave McGraw and Mandy Fer have been touring extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe and are back on the island with a live concert at San Juan Community Theatre THIS Saturday, March 21 at 7:30 pm.

They’re celebrating the release of their new album, Maritime, which captures a moment in time and place from their seaside home. Upon early release in Europe, Maritime charted at #1 on the EuroAmericana Chart for two consecutive months and ranked among the Top Albums of 2014 by The Telegraph, praising it for “…soulful songs, intuitive musicianship and fine singing.”

Wanting to record live on San Juan Island (in a home, at the end of a dirt road, amidst towering evergreens), the duo called on their cohort of kindred musicians and producers to come together from across the country to make what they were calling their “island record.” Unique in its authenticity—navigating the waters of folk, indie-rock, and rootsy Americana—the album is emotive, raw and honest.

Dave and Mandy met in Arizona in 2010, relocating to the Pacific Northwest two years later. Together, their exceptional vocal harmonies coupled with Mandy’s pioneering electric guitar work have become a vehicle to carry them around the world… and when they can, back to the island home they love.

Tickets are available at www.sjctheatre.org or 378-3210.

  1. These two are fantastic musicians and singers, as well as very appealing performers. I was sold after going to the Theatre’s website and following a link to You Tube where I watched some performance clips. It will be a great concert!
