9th Annual Celebration of the Orca Greeting Ceremony Auction Items

Plans are well underway for The Whale Museum’s 9th Annual “Greeting Ceremony” Event. This Fundraising Dinner and Auction will be held on Friday, April 24 at Brickworks in Friday Harbor.

Tickets are still available for this fun evening which begins with a happy hour & silent auction at 5:30 p.m.; the no-host bar will include wine from Northwest Totem Cellars and beer from Island Hoppin’ Brewery; San Juan Roasters is brewing the coffee. Market Chef is preparing the dinner. After dinner, the entertaining portion of the evening will begin with the live auction followed by a dessert auction. Desserts are being created by local restaurants and bakers.

The Live Auction features a variety of great items, including: a load of Lawson’s gravel; a Bellingham Get-Away courtesy of San Juan Airlines & Silver Reef Casino; a Sidney, B.C. Get-Away to The Sidney Pier Hotel & Spa; and a 7-day cruise for two from Portland, OR, on the Columbia & Snake Rivers with Un-Cruise Adventures. For more detail, visit The Whale Museum’s website.

Special thanks to our event sponsors: Islanders Insurance, Islanders Bank, Northwest Totem Cellars, Petro San Juan, Coldwell Banker-San Juan Islands, and Ed & Clare Kelm.

The evening is a special treat at $35.00 per person (price includes dinner; wine & beer sold separately). Reservations can be made at The Whale Museum or online at www.whalemuseum.org. RSVPs are strongly encouraged as seating is limited. (If a group would like to attend, tables in increments of eight seats can be reserved.) Proceeds raised through this event will directly support the education and research programs of The Whale Museum. To reserve your seats, stop by the Museum or call (360) 378-4710 ext. 30.
