Island Rec Soccer Camps

This summer Island Rec will be offering two youth soccer camps: Western Washington University Summer Soccer Camp and Summer Soccer Technical Training with Coach Van.

WWU Camp Dates & Times:

Western Washington University Soccer Camp: This camp will provide players a unique opportunity to receive individual instruction from the 2016 NCAA DII National Champs, Western Washington University Women’s soccer coaches and players right here on the island. This co-ed camp is designed for players of all levels, ages 11-14 who want to learn and improve their fundamental soccer skills in a fun and encouraging environment. Focus will be on individual skill development and small group tactical decision making. Camp will be located at the new soccer field, John O. Linde Community Park.

U12-U15 (Ages 11-14): Tuesday July 3, 2018 (12:30pm-2:00pm), and Thursday July 5, 2018 (12:30pm-2:00pm) at Linde Park Field. Cost: $55.

Technical Training with Coach Van

Additionally, this summer, Island Rec and FHFC will be offering a co-ed three-week technical training in July to prepare players ages 11-18 for the fall FHFC soccer season. This technical soccer clinic is designed for the serious young soccer player looking to continually improve their game.

This will be an intense, no nonsense soccer clinic that is competitive and technically focused. Players should come prepared and be ready to work hard and learn a lot. This program will be instructed by Coach Van, a professionally licensed soccer coach who has numerous years of experience and currently is the coaching director for Friday Harbor Football Club. A minimum of 8 registrants needed by early registration deadline.

Ages 11-15: Aug. 2-16 (4:00pm-5:30pm), on Thursday of every week (3 sessions total). Cost: Early Fee (before July 19)- $33; $38 thereafter.

Ages 16-18: Aug. 2-16 (5:30pm-7:00pm), on Thursday of every week (3 sessions total). Cost: Early Fee (before July 19)- $33; $38 thereafter.
