Minnie Knych shares this report of a Freedom Flotilla down at the harbor…

Despite the cool, foggy weather more than 50 people showed up at Fairweather Park to celebrate living in the greatest country on Earth with a Freedom Flotilla on Saturday, Oct. 3.

Signs, flags and music marked the occasion. Candidate for WA State Legislature Russ Dzialo and 2nd Congressional District candidate Tim Hazelo were speakers sharing their vision for WA State. Several passers-by joined in the fun and requested flags to fly on their boats.

The convivial group celebrated and then a flotilla of boats flying flags and candidate support signs sailed on to Lopez for another celebration, leaving the park area as clean and pristine as when they arrived.

  1. Freedom from clean air. Freedom from clean water. Freedom from having any pristine natural areas left. Freedom from a livable earth. Freedom from healthcare for many. Freedom from oversight of the Executive Branch. Freedom from science. Freedom from tolerance and diversity. Freedom from honesty and truth.

  2. Congratulations, Christopher, for memorizing and parroting the phony talking points that the Democrat Party has used since at least the Reagan era. When you know that the American voters are not buying “socialism-lite,” you fall back on these same tired lies. It’s all you have.

  3. Daniel, it also looks like they’e celebrating the ability to catch COVID-19 and infect their friends and family. Look at the photo; haven’t they heard that they should wear masks when they’re that close together? Do they also claim the freedom to drive THROUGH the Argyle/Spring rotary, or the freedom to drive on the left side of the road?

  4. Daniel, unless you can be more specific, this is a meaningless comment. I am thinking of specific things trump has done for each of my points. For example; slashing protections for air and water while installing CEO’s as heads of agencies they fight. Pulling out of the Climate Accord and even working to suppress Climate change information. 97% of published climate Scientists world wide say the data supports the idea that human activity is causing global warming which is leading to climate change with what could be catastrophic results. trump is the most authoritarian president in this and the last century, who seems to feel all power should rest in him. He is attacking immigrants to a degree unheard of in recent times, hateful in his characterizations. He is a liar of unimagined proportions – over 20,000 documented lies since he was inaugurated. Claiming an unearned higher level of patriotism and spreading fear (of socialism, among other things) is the gop stock in trade. They could not even come up with a platform, talk about having nothing. Every other even slightly industrialized country has some kind of government health care , why not us?
