Girl Scouts say, "Thanks!"

The Girls of Troop 1949 would like to take this opportunity to say "Thank you" to our community. Thanks for the years of support during our car washes, clothing drive and fruit picking for Wolf Hollow. The support we received helped us 'help others'. We, unfortunately, have decided to not register as a troop any longer.

You will see our faces around, still doing community work. So when you see that flyer for the 'Costa Rica Clothing Drive' or the request for fruit to pick, it will still be the same girls making the request. With the help and support of the community, we have had some wonderful experiences and made memories of a lifetime. We as girls, have realized that we can make a difference. We have done things that range from fruit picking, painting, walking dogs and yard work for the animal shelter.

Each job had a special meaning to us as a troop. Our fundraising was our work for our kayaking and sleepovers. So, please remember us and the work we do. If you have fruit to pick call Shona at Wolf Hollow, she knows how to reach us and we will be there. We have had some great times and made connections in our community that we will carry with us a lifetime. It is great to live in this wonderful community. When there is a need, all one has to do is ask and the community pulls together as one.

Take a moment to look around and see what it is that we have done to help others in need. Whether it be a Girl Scout fundraiser, a member in our community with a need, or a hurricane somewhere in the world; as a community we stand proud. For that we would like to say, "Thank you!"

Sincerely,
The girls of Troop 1949
