The Islands Women's Summit Design Team is seeking proposals and reservations from female San Juan County executives, artists, entrepreneurs, volunteers, musicians, educators, visionaries, health-care practitioners, writers, organization leaders, moms, financial specialists, technologists, bankers, restaurateurs, activists, B&B owners, consultants and others who may be interested in presenting and participating in The Islands Women's Summit, check out the website.

Co-sponsored by Soroptimist International of Friday Harbor and Rosario Resort and Spa this event will be held November 4-6, 2005 at Rosario Resort and Spa on Orcas Island.

The fun will begin on Friday, November 4th with afternoon workshops, outdoor activities and spa time. Friday evening's entertainment will be a presentation of art and music from many talented islanders as we “Celebrate the Sisters of the Salish Sea”. The Artisans' Marketplace, featuring arts, crafts and gifts by local artists and businesswomen, will open Friday and be available on Saturday, too.

Saturday, November 5th, will be a day filled with information and networking opportunities bringing island women together to share their ideas, interests, resources and life stories. Attendees will hear from an inspirational keynote speaker and be able to choose from a variety of workshops on personal finance, mindful living, creativity, physical health and spirituality. Luncheon Roundtable discussions will allow attendees the opportunity to learn from each other and share common experiences.

There will be a Resource Room with tables staffed by local organizations that seek to help women and the Artisans' Marketplace will be open through the afternoon. There will be time for leisure late on Saturday afternoon, followed by a special dinner and entertainment in The Moran Room. Sunday will be a day of rest and renewal.

While all events can be attended on an “a la carte” basis, The Design Team is encouraging friends, women's organizations and clubs to make the most of this event as a perfect opportunity to get their groups together for a weekend of shared time and pampering.
