Jessica L. Griss and Patrick Merlino were married at the San Juan Island Yacht Club on October 14th.

The bride is the daughter of Martin and Diane Griss, of the Washington Coast (formerly of Friday Harbor), and granddaughter of Gene & Darlene Loucks, of Lincoln, Nebraska.

The groom is the son of Richard and Carol Merlino of Friday Harbor. His grandparents are: Dorothea Merlino (Friday Harbor), Bud and Mary Allison and Ken and Maureen Hagen, of Arizona.

The bride wore a white strapless ball-gown style dress and her 'maids wore floor-length apple red dresses. The groom and his gentlemen were outfitted in black tuxedos, with charcoal gray vests and bow ties.

The ceremony was officiated by Archie Brooks. Charis Pruitt was the Matron of Honor and Brien Sesby was the Best Man. Other members of the wedding party included: Jessica C. Merlino, Crystal Carlson, Gary Griss, Michael Ahbel and Jameson Dreyfous. Joshua Porter was the usher.

A dessert reception immediately followed the wedding ceremony.

After a wedding trip to Whistler, B.C., the Merlino's are at home in Friday Harbor.
