 My husband & I lived in Friday Harbor for many years, though we'd only been married for 4 1/2 years. My husband's name is Mike Richardson & worked for Lawson, Browne Lumber & most recently for Island Petroleum.
We moved in 2005 to Aberdeen, WA. & on Aug 1st 2006 moved to Rockaway Beach, Oregon because Mike loves the ocean so much (he's an ex-surfer dude) I'm writing because Mike is very ill. We just learned on Dec. 18th that Mike has lung cancer that has spread to his brain & he doesn't have much time left. Hospice is helping us through these last days or weeks. Because we haven't lived here very long I feel especially alone & lost, as Mike is my best friend & the love of my life. I really don't know how I am going to survive this. My heart is broken in two. We've lost touch with many of our friends & I was hoping you might print something up about our situation in the hopes that our friends would find out about Mike & hopefully get in touch.
