Dear Community and local Non Profit Groups, Happy New Year! We are entering our 4th year of business, and I thought that it was time to give you an update on our progress in recycling and getting money into the hands of local charities. We are expanding with over 4000 sq. ft. of additional floor space in two new buildings. We are almost done with the first new building. We hope to have an open house sometime in March or April. If you have not had an opportunity to see our operation, we hope you will take some time to drop by and see what we do. We have been a part time business open 6 hrs a day 4 days a week (W.Th.F.S. 11:00-5:00). Sometime in 2008, we hope to become a 6 day a week operation. In the first new building we have put in a Dollars For Scholars Clothes Closet. The “Scholars Clothes Closet” will help earn money for local scholarships, and provide some clothes to needy students in a hands up reward program, Scholars Dollars. We have one area of the new building that we are offering to local non profits groups to use for garage sales. We have tables and space, just give us a call and arrange your time. Through community support of our business, we have donated to 68 local charities. Here are some fun numbers and information: The largest one month check went to Paideia Classical School for $825.38. The top money getting organization to date is the Animal Shelter with over $3700. This amount is followed by the Soroptimist Club, the Lions Club, Wolf Hollow, and Hospice. A wide variety of organizations have received funds from Consignment Treasures. Lots of school organizations and projects have received donations and six churches have received donations. If your group or Board would like to know more about our business and how we can help you, please let me know and I will be glad to come by and give a talk and answer any questions.
