State champs! Senior Stewart Bell settles the ball at Lynden Christian...the Friday Harbor High soccer team was named State (1A) Academic Champs earlier this month - wahoo! Let’s see what’s going on around the island after that busy weekend, with another coming up….

• Besides leaving the island with great memories from his twelve years here, Merritt Olsen has left an island humming “Do Re Mi” & “Climb Every Mountain” and all those songs from The Sound of Music these last two weekends – I love the way he directs plays. The cheerfulness, good pace & clarity of his productions is a nice legacy for him to leave as he ends his time at the Community Theatre this month….

Great play, everyone!
