Since this Friday, 10/26, is the deadline for registering for the Inner Journey Adventure for Teen Girls workshop, I figured I’d better find out more about for you – here’s more about what it’s all about:

Q. Hey, Deb! I know you’ll be offering the first “Inner Journey Adventure for Teen Girls” on Sunday, November 4th.  (I posted your flyer on the Update last week.)  How did this workshop come about?

A. When the daughter of one of my Inner Journey Collage workshop mothers expressed interest in her mom’s collage, it seemed a good time to create something relevant for adolescent girls in our community.  Actually, a few of my island wholistic health/coaching clients are  teenage girls, so I’m aware of some of their typical issues, e.g., self-esteem, positive body image, perfectionism…

Q. Have you just described the new workshop curriculum?

D: Those issues represent just the beginning. Participants will also be exploring what brings joy & meaning & how they might use their passions as emerging adults.  The final piece will be creating a specific collage card & using a special process to access their inner wisdom & discover what information their unconscious minds have for them.

Q. Sounds very intriguing. Is registration still open?

A: Yes, but there are only a few slots remaining & registration closes this Friday, 10/26.  So I hope parents & daughters will not procrastinate too long if they’re interested in this workshop.

Q. Is there anything else you’d like islanders to know?

A. Other than being excited about working with our terrific teen girls, I’d like our community to know how much I appreciate the enthusiasm & support already expressed about this workshop–A recent example: Last Thursday, S-Club (the high school version of Soroptimists)–& specifically Melanie Cope, Debbi Staehlin, & Isabel Gabriel–conducted a fundraiser at Marketplace to begin creating a scholarship fund for girls needing financial assistance for attending this workshop–In just 1-1/2 hours, our generous community contributed enough for two full scholarships!

I’ve known Deb for a few years now, and she’s a great reflexologist who has a natural way with figuring out what a person needs to grow, as well. Give her a call and check in – you’ll be glad you did!
