Domestic violence and sexual assault are important but difficult issues to face. The non-profit agency, Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Services (DVSAS) will be facilitating a series of trainings to help broaden community awareness and to help people prepare for careers working with survivors of abuse or volunteering to assist with crisis line work. You as a community member can broaden your scope and sensitivity to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault by investing some time at our two-level training.

Classes will begin on January 27 and go until March 4, 2013. There will be two 6-hour classes, on January 27 (brown bag lunch) and March 3 (potluck lunch). The rest of the classes will be from 6:00-9:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The training will be at Skagit Valley College, Friday Harbor Campus. To register or get more information call Patty at 378-8680, Monday-Thursday 10-5.

If you are interested in:

  • personal awareness
  • assisting us with fundraising

  • being a safe home provider
  • joining the board

If you are contemplating:

All attendees will receive a certificate of completion. This is Washington State approved DV/SA core training.

Our training is especially designed for service providers, legal and medical personnel, educators, businesses, high school and college students and community members.
