After more than ten years of service as EMS Chief of San Juan Island EMS/Island Air Ambulance, Jim Cole resigns to take the position of EMS Coordinator in the PeaceHealth Oregon West Network. His last day will be June 5, 2015.

I am honored to have served this community alongside the professional volunteers and staff of San Juan Island EMS,” said Cole.

The Commissioners of the San Juan County Public Hospital District #1, which oversees the operation of San Juan Island EMS, thank Chief Cole for his decade of service. “We greatly appreciate the hard work and dedication that Chief Cole brought to the position. We will miss him,” said Chairperson Dr. Michael Edwards.

A search committee will be formed.
