David Bayley Opposed to Charter Amendments

As an original Freeholder who helped craft our Home Rule Charter in 2005, I want to add my voice in dissent against the latest round of proposed changes to that document on the ballot.

My Charter colleague, Madrona Murphy, has posted a detailed critique of these changes, as did a surprisingly large group of Freeholders who published a minority opinion based upon their concerns that these changes had nothing to do with our County’s basic governance.

If you’re inclined, vote for the term limit proposal, but even that isn’t a critical local need.
