To the editor and readers of the San Juan Island Update-
As a long time island resident, Bob Jarman has shown through word and deed that he cares passionately for our beautiful county and its people. In addition to currently serving as a county council member he
- Was instrumental in bringing the Relay for Life to our county
- Was a founding board member of Dollars for Scholars
- Served as a board member of the San Juan County Senior Council
- Was a fire commissioner for San Juan County District #3
In addition to his dedication to community service Bob’s experience as both a small business owner and the manager of the local operation of a large phone company will continue to bring a sense of fiscal responsibility to county operations.
Rather than simply implementing burdensome regulations and/or throwing money (i.e. your tax dollars) at a problem, he will look for solutions that are practical and creative while at the same time keeping in mind that he is working for the taxpayers and residents of our county.
Please consider casting your vote on election day for Bob Jarman for the county council district 1 position.
