Sally from Island Rec says this new class will help fill a gap:
Several people who have been taking the fitness class at Skagit College just asked for Island Rec’s help about two weeks ago in putting together a summer fitness class for them since the college is closing for the summer. We are delighted that we have been able to put together a great summer fitness class for them and any other interested adult! Here’s the scoop:
The class will be taught by Tracy McClintock, American Council of Exercise certified instructor will focus on strength training, core development, balance and flexibility. Tracy has been teaching aerobics on the island since 1983! The class meets Monday, Wednesday and Fridays 9:15-10:15am beginning June 15 through September 11 at the Dance Workshop II, 15 Second Street in the Masonic Building.
A minimum of 15 registrations must be received by June 11 for this class to go forth. Register with Island Rec weekdays between 1-5pm at 580 Guard Street or go to www.islandrec.org to download a registration form. Cost is $82 for this 34 class session.
Call Island Rec at 378-4953 for more information.
Thanks for helping us get the word out! We are under a time crunch here
