My friend Melissa Crane over at the County says the training for the new GIS system is open to you, and you might like to come by. (You can review it here – I found it really easy to use!) Here’s the scoop:
The GIS Team will be hosting Polaris training tomorrow morning in the Council Hearing Room at 10:00. Everyone is welcome!
Friday, August 28: Open to Public: 10:00 am in Council Hearing Room
Learn how to:
• Mark up your map with text and drawing tools
• Email a map to your friend
• Obtain information and parcels and addresses, such as ownership, acreage, and assessed value
• Measure areas and distances in a variety of units
• Obtain the X, Y coordinates of a particular location
We will also discuss upcoming Polaris applications and functionality that will be coming your way in the near future.
Hope to see you there!
