Kestrel on the island – that makes two….

You already know Kestrel Bailey whose folks Shannon & Bill run the Catalyst II between here & Alaska.
…well, you’ll recognize the other Kestrel (right) who used to work at Mi Casita & Camp Eagle Rock. She’s back on-island this summer working with San Juan Excursions, making us the island with the most Kestrels per capita of any place, which rocks.

Then there was on Lopez Island and went to Spring Street School a young man named Kestrel Aarp (I believe is his last name. When I named Kestrel I thought she was the only Kestrel in the San Juans, then discovered that this young man was born first. When they were teens they actually played basketball together one summer: Kes and Kes.
However you should know that Kestrel Lane on San Juan Island is definitely named for Kestrel Bailey and she was not named for it.
I’ll send this to Kestel. She is currently at Capernwray Bible School in New Zealand and doesn’t return to the island till December 15th, so technically the Kestel above is the only one currently on island.
