Darcie, back in town….

Former FHHS counselor Emily Reed keeps tabs on her students, even the hard-to-catch ones like Darcie....
Former County Commissioner Darcie Nielsen was walking the streets of Friday Harbor last week, and Robin Jacobson caught up with her for a moment to file this report:
Hi Ian,
Darcie Nielsen was here from Europe for a quick visit about a week ago and I took the attached photo of her then with Emily Reed (who, as Darcie’s high school counselor, positively predicted she would go places someday). Darcie can normally be found in Tirana, Albania where she is the head of the Governance in Economy and Environmental Issues Department within the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (www.osce.org). Some people will remember when she was stationed in Turkey with another international organization.
And yes, she still has diplomatic privileges and floats between countries faster than we can get past a security scanner at SeaTac.
