New head honcho at SVC….

He used to run summer soccer camps & events before he an Missy moved to the island. Now he’s moved up to the top spot for Skagit Valley College on the island, replacing departed director Denise King.
Islanders first got to know Randy Martin as the FHHS girls soccer coach in 2000, and during that time he also got going with the Elderhostel program at SVC…and going. Under his leadership, the local Elderhostel program has grown to be the second biggest in the state (and if you ask me, the coolest.) Now he’s in charge of that AND the college…good move by Mick Donahue, who oversees the operation here.
And he’s not the only one starting something new – Lucy starts kindergarten this week, by the way.
