Griffin Bay Book Club: Wesley the Owl

The club meets on Friday, January 29th (I’m telling you now so you can read the book!), and Nancy Larsen says you’ll like this one (Wesley the Owl):
Griffin Bay Book Club is reading Wesley the Owl, by Stacey O’Brien, for the January meeting. This a love story that begins when O’Brien adopts an injured baby barn owl and embarks on a relationship that will last almost two decades.
O’Brien has written a heart-felt account of their complex emotional bond, her startling discoveries about barn owl behavior, intelligence, communication skills, and emotions. This book is at once playful and informative, brimful of anecdotes (and photographs) showing us Wesley’s capacity to reason and communicate, to offer enduring love and loyalty. Don’t miss it.
