End of the road for FHHS basketball…

It’s been a tough couple of days for Friday Harbor’s two basketball squads.
On Tuesday night, Lynden Christian took a one-point lead after one and went on a roll, beating the Wolverine boys 70-45 in the first game of the playoffs. FHHS had ended this season taking second in league for the year….
And it was a heartbreaker last night for the high-flying girls basketball team – FHHS’s usual leading scorer Maggie Anderson’s injured hand (she jammed it pretty badly on Saturday against Meridian) slowed her up, and the Coupeville pressure held the high-scoring Wolverines under 30 as the Wolves beat us 41-27, ending the season for league champs Friday Harbor.
