Fan mail for Jim Carroll….

Every so often, I hear good stories about good things that good people are doing, and it’s nice to be able to share ’em. Carrie & Juan Unpingo enjoyed working with Jim Carroll enough to write it up – here’s the story:

Just a note about our wonderful realtor, Jim Carroll, at Windermere.

I have been a resident of San Juan Island since June 2007. Before moving to the island, my parents bought a home at the Oaks in 2006, and planned to retire here. Jim Carroll, from Windermere, was their realtor. Jim went out of his way to show us around the entire island; slowing down as we drove past the bluffs near Lime Kiln & stopping for us to watch an eagle fly overhead. Here was a realtor, who could be spending his precious time with potential buyers of million dollar homes, driving us around the island for hours to see if we “liked it here.” Jim not only took the time with us, but he instantly became a life-long friend.

I also got to know Jim around this time, as my parents and I came out as often as we could to stay the weekend in their new island house. It felt like this was the place we were destined to be. In the mean time, I finished college and moved out here for an amazing job at Inter Island Medical Center.

Unlike some realtors, Jim Carroll continues to be friendly even after “working” with him. He is never too busy to stop and say hello, only to lose track of time asking us how we’re doing. If it wasn’t for Jim Carroll, we may have never moved out here. And as we all know, moving is life-changing.

Now it’s 2010, and my husband and I are now working with Jim Carroll to buy a place of our own. He constantly keeps us up-to-date and is there for us answering my endless list of questions. He treats us as if we were buying a $2,000,000 home. I would recommend Jim Carroll to anyone shopping for a home. He is an amazing person, friend, and asset to our island. When people ask me what realtor we’re working with, I proudly say “Jim Carroll, of course!”

Their response is always, “You chose a good one.” There is no doubt that Jim Carroll is the hardest working realtor on the island, not to mention one of the friendliest people in Friday Harbor. Thanks, Jim! We are so lucky to have you here.
