It was good: Good Food!

That showing of Good Food (the movie) went great last weekend – and Maureen & Linda wanted to say thanks:
The Land & Sea wants to thank everyone who came to see “Good Food” – we had a great total turnout for the three showings, and we heard good things afterward!
We would like to thank Friday Harbor House and manager Michael, sales coordinators Wendy, Lisa Duke, and chef Joseph Foriska for their help and enthusiasm, and the great venue. The filmmakers Melissa Young and Mark Dworkin were able to spend a few days on the island because of the generosity of Marion Melville and Doug Bison, who provided accommodations. Thank you, also, to Jim & Christina at Heritage Farm and their intern Zach for hosting a potluck for the filmmakers, and for the delicious roast. We also want to thank Ian, for his help, and publicizing this community event.
The filmmakers have asked us to pass on a request – “GOOD FOOD” is scheduled to be shown soon on PBS, but may only get good time slots if enough viewers request that. If you’d like to see it again, or know others you’d want to have see this lovely not-for-profit film, contact your local PBS station to let them know you’d like to have “GOOD FOOD” shown during prime hours when the maximum number of viewers can see it. That would really help. This film can have a positive impact on viewers new to the subject, or for those who could use inspiration. The “Good Food” web page is here.
