Sweet Harmonies on the Whittier stage June 6
The popular Barbershop Bonanza returns to the San Juan Community Theatre on Sunday, June 6 at 2:00 p.m.
Off-island crooners and our own homegrown singers, including hosts Island Chordsmen Plus, will fill the stage in the finale of this annual finger-snapping and toe-tapping extravaganza.
But first each group will showcase its own talents. In addition to the Chordsmen, also featured this year is San Juan Island’s female “barbershoppers,” Sound Vibrations; the mixed octet Lopez Sound; and First Capital Chorus from Langley, BC.
Director Angel Michaels adds that there will be community singing and a complimentary afterglow reception inside the Gubelman Theatre.
The evening’s Business Partner is Roche Harbor Resort. Tickets are $16 for adults, $8 for student reserved, with $5 student RUSH one hour before the show. The Box Office is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. or tickets may be purchased on-line at www.sjctheatre.org
