We got you, Abe….

It was outpouring of love & music & food & more love…the Yacht Club filled up Saturday night with folks who came to cheer on Abe Gutierrez. The food was awesome, the music by Noise Complaint was awesome, the silent auction wasn’t THAT quiet, and the guest of honor was his usual happy, smiling self. Kristine & Sandy & their small army of volunteers & supporters put on a great evening.
The highlight of the evening was Noise Complaint’s Kira singing “I Got You, Abe” for the man…she wrote new words for the old Sonny & Cher song, and sang it early in the evening, and then again later, by overwhelming demand.
If you’d like to donate a little more to help Abe with his medical expenses, drop it off at King’s Market.
And a good time was had by all. Abe sure is loved….

Abe’s party was SO MUCH FUN! We are all so lucky to have such great friends and so many talented islanders. I didn’t win Kate’s crab chowder but we will be having a delicious dinner at Mi Casita soon. Many thanks to all the organizers, cooks, and entertainers!
just watch your thumbs Abe…. love and respect from Cali!
Sure wish I would have known about the party. I would have made it a priority to come. Abe gives SO much to our community…just his smile alone and addressing you personally when you come into the produce section at MP can make one’s day. “Hey, Chica One! How are you today my dear?” Good Abe, how are you? “FANTASTIC!”
We all love you, Abe. Take GOOD care of yourself!
Praying for you.
This is why i love this island… Thank you all who helped out with this wonderful and fun event for my Uncle Abe!!i know I had a blast, the food was great, the company was wonderful, and the music…LOVED IT!! Noise Complaint Rocks!! I look foward to hearing some more in the future.
Of course Abe was the star of the “show,” Kyra singing that song was AMAZING. It brought us to tears. You sang your red hot mama butt off. The band was great for sure and dinner was excellent.
