What happens in Vegas…

Josie & I had a little family visit to Las Vegas & St. George, Utah last weekend, and she had just gotten through saying, “You know, it seems like we run into island people everywhere we go – wonder who we’ll run into, here.”
So, we immediately saw Jason & Robin at the airport, who were coming back to Washington after a week of hiking at Red Rocks (sounds awesome!) They said they had a great time…it was cool to see familiar faces.
Then, on Sunday, I dropped in to the Unity Church for services in St. George, Utah, which was warm & welcoming, and met pastor Luigi Persichetti, whose wife Jill said, “San Juan Island? Wow…do you know Ben Troutman? He teaches at the middle school.”
By the way, Coy at the barbershop (above) has grandparents in St.George, and Regan at the Strand’s dad lives in Hurricane, just up the road from St. George.
Small world…lovin’ it.
