Linda & Maureen have a movie this weekend you’ll want to catch (here’s the trailer):
FRESH
FILM SCREENING AT SJI LIBRARY FEB. 13, SUNDAY, AT 6pm
– FREE – OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
We are all hearing a lot of things about what’s wrong with our nation’s food production systems. How about hearing the ways we can start to solve the biggest problems?
Attend the screening of the film “Fresh”, a documentary that encourages us to think about the food we are eating and looks at the issues today’s farmers are facing but, most importantly, looks at people who are doing great things, and who have found do-able ways to make healthy food available for everyone. You can walk out of this film feeling … Happy. And powerful.
An informal discussion will follow. For more information on “Fresh” visit the film’s website: http://www.freshthemovie.com/.
This event is co-sponsored by the San Juan Island Library and Land & Sea, a chapter of Slow Food. The showing is made possible throught the generosity of Land & Sea members Michelle and Chad. Thanks, Michelle & Chad!
