New storefonts around town, and more….

The IMA (Islands Museum of Art) is moving across from Market Chef & next to Gallery San Juan this week (with a show opening in a couple of weeks!) Director Jennifer Elise (left) and Board member Marilyn Luckman could use a hand setting things up, if you have some extra time this week...

Lots of changes in town – do you know where everybody is?

• Closed for the month – Cotton Cotton Cotton, Pablito’s, and Backdoor Kitchen.

Also, Island Studios is now closed Monday-Wednesday for the winter, except Monday, February 13 (the day before Valentine’s Day, sweetie.)

• After nearly 16 years, Mi Casita moved the week before Christmas into the old Homesteaders spot at the Best Western. Gregg & the gang are off to a great start in the new place – it’s awesome! Be sure & swing in & check it out, and watch out – it’s been pretty crowded!

• The IMA (photo above) has moved into the vacant spot where Jenn Rigg’s Loea Design shop used to be (she’s set up in the Whidbey Bank building now…)

Lavendera Day Spa is moving into & remodeling the place where the IMA was last week, next to the Little Store…they have an off-site place for appointments this month, so you can still get services – be sure & call at 378-3637.

• Meanwhile, Carolyn & Brian are closed at the Sandpebble as they take the month off to re-model – it’ll be great to see what it looks like when they’re done!

Closed for January - the Sandpebble is being remodeled.

  1. Well they said there was to be a shift in 2012 – I guess it is happening in little Friday Harbor!
