One of the great events of the year on the island is the Children’s Festival in May, and every good festival needs a good poster! Here are the winners for this year’s event:
22nd Annual San Juan Island Children’s Festival Poster Contest Winners!
It was a difficult decision to determine who will win this year’s poster contest with so many fantastic entries!
Here are the results: 1st place is Megan Wilson, 2nd place is Journey Howden and 3rd place is Ava Smith. Megan will experience a wildlife and whale watch cruise compliments of San Juan Excursions, Journey will enjoy a $25 gift certificate to the Toy Box and Ava will have fun with her $20 gift certificate to Ositos. The first prize winner will be featured on the Children’s Festival poster and will be framed to be admired by all in the Island Rec’s main office. The Children’s Festival will be on May 5th this year from 10am to 2pm at the San Juan County Fairgrounds. The entire event is free and kids of all ages will enjoy over 30 activity providers centered around this year’s theme “Leap Off the Page” bring your stories to life!
