Love you on the run….

The runners turning onto San Juan Valley Road (where Spring Street takes you out of town).....a cool morning turned into a warm day for the tenth running of the race.

There’s a lot to like about our annual Marathon – it’s a reliable annual event that brings happy, healthy people to the island, it’s always well-run (way to go, Clark! way to go, incredible volunteers!), and it seems to bring out the best in people – islanders who cheer for the runners as they go by & in the runners’ efforts to do their best. The island provides a beautiful place to get a run in, and it was looking great yesterday…

There are ways to measure the success of a race, but for me seeing that many smiling people on the island all at one time means we had a good deal going on.

Here are the results, so you can look up your time & see how you did.

And…here’s a little video I took of the start of the race as they took off down Argyle….
