The San Juan Transit buses are sporting the new look for the Scenic Byway - looking good!

Let’s take a look at what’s going on around the rock:

• Looking for a place to eat on Saturday? You can add The Market Chef to your list – here’s more from Laurie & Tim:

Hi there Ian!
I was hoping you could let our friends and neighbors know that The Market Chef will begin our summer hours this weekend! Now that all of our COLLEGE GRADUATES (Congratulations Cameron Byington and Rene Beachem!) have returned for the summer, we will be open on Saturdays starting this Saturday (10-4) and be open until 6 P.M. Monday through Friday starting this coming week. Thanks for helping us get the word out!
Best,
Laurie

Hey, Ian – We are excited about our FHAM! kick-off this evening (5-8pm at Brickworks Plaza) and want to let you know a little about our musical line-up…..Teddy Deane will be playing some sweet jazz on his saxophone from 5-6:30 and Joe Miller comes in from 6:30-8:00 with some great classical guitar.

Hope you can drop by!
Debbie

  1. Hey Ian, Thanks for running the pic of the Byway Explorer Bus! We’re working hard to reduce the numbers of cars coming over from the mainland by offering a “twofer” on the bus this summer. Riders who complete a brief visitor survey at http://www.visitsanjuans.com/scenicbyway can get a free companion fare on the bus – which is running on both San Juan Island and on Orcas Island(buses there will run on weekends starting June 22nd). For info on the schedule and routes, see the San Juan Transit website: http://www.sanjuantransit.com. Liz Illg, San Juan Islands Scenic Byway Project Coordinator
