It’s sad to hear that Orcas Island resident Richard Bach (you remember him from Illusions & Jonathan Livingston Seagull) is in the hospital in Seattle after a small plane wreck yesterday (here’s the Seattle Times article).
Richard read from his new book about 5-6 years ago here on the island & it was pretty cool for the overflow crowd to hear him for nearly two hours without notes (here’s my writeup at the time, scroll down to read).

How is Richard Bach doing now? Is he out of the hospital? I wanted to send him a get well card, if he has an address. I knew him years ago in Orlando, Florida when I was learning to fly, and he has helped several of my friends with their flying careers. I’m retired NW captain 747.
