Morning poem….from Shel Silverstein, with Donovan chiming in

I taught junior high for years in one phase of my life, and one of the things the kids & I did was memorize poems…both they & I liked it that some of the poems were so short that we COULD remember them, and so we found ourselves repeating them when we needed them.
It is a core belief that I have: Everyone needs a poem in their head for the things that come along in life.
So, here’s a poem for this morning – one of my favorites, by Shel Silverstein:
Listen to Mustn’ts, child, listen to the Don’ts.
Listen to the Shouldn’ts, the Impossibles, the Won’ts.
Listen to the Never Haves, then listen close to me.
Anything can happen, child, anything can be.
