Bicycle Tourism Workshop

A reminder that this presentation/discussion is happening today. Anyone interested is encouraged to attend.
Please join the San Juan Islands Scenic Byway Partnership for a talk on bicycle travel and sustainable tourism on Thursday, February 28, 2013 from 1:00 – 3:30 PM. The presentation is sponsored by WSDOT’s Community Design Office and will be broadcast in these locations:
- Skagit Valley College Community Room in Friday Harbor
- Lopez Library
- Orcas Library
It will feature Kristin Dahl, Senior Manager of Destination Development for Travel Oregon. Kristin spearheads Oregon’s bike tourism development efforts to ensure that Oregon becomes a prominent cycling destination in North America. In her presentation, Kristin will share about Travel Oregon’s work with rural communities to develop a thriving bicycle tourism economy, the Oregon Scenic Bikeways Program, the Oregon Bicycle Tourism Partnership, RideOregonRide.com, and the Oregon bike travel study.
