Opening Reception at Gallery 9

San Juan Island artist Jim Nollman starts with digital photographic images of Marine animals and transforms them with hours of digital manipulation to create sonic images. Sonic? Yes, he also is a whale researcher and uses sound waves to communicate and record with whales (http://interspecies.com/). This theme appears in his artwork on metal plate and canvas.
He also is a talented musician. Opening reception this Saturday from 4 – 7 pm at Gallery 9. Music by Jim, wine and snacks.
