McAllister and Rust Opening Reception

Just got this note about a new show opening at WM McCauley Gallery over on A Street….

We are excited to be highlighting works by well known San Juan Island artist Marsha McAllister. Working with traditional and nontraditional materials, Marsha mixes her oil, acrylic, wax and enamel paints using dry pigment and metallic flake, resulting in a luminescent surface. Her process has a direct, physical immediacy creating a dynamic spatial tension that stirs an emotional, often visceral, response.
We will also be featuring the regionally themed oil paintings of Lopez Island artist Mike Rust
Opening this Saturday, Marsha McAllister and Mike Rust
Reception Saturday October 26th 4pm – 8pm, Come as you are
Exhibition runs October 26th through December 5th
