Moving Forward on the Waterfront

The Port Commissioners invite the public to attend an update meeting on the Port’s Waterfront Master Plan and to meet the Spring Street Site design teams on Tuesday, December 3rd at the Friday Harbor House conference room. The workshop will begin at 5pm, with presentations scheduled to begin at 5:30pm.
The Port has begun the process of rebuilding the Spring Street Landing building, destroyed by fire a few months ago. The Commissioners of the Port of Friday Harbor have steadily moved forward on this project by contracting with engineers and architects to create a waterfront commercial building [that] the San Juan Island community will be proud of for years to come. Demolition of the damaged building will take place soon.
This will be a great opportunity to give feedback on the early design concepts of the Spring Street Landing building. Light refreshments will be provided. For questions, contact Deanna Eltinge (360)378-2688.
