In Flight Meal

Captain David Howitt, while skippering for Legacy Charters the other day, snatched these beautiful photos of an eagle eating in flight. Here it is in his words…

Amidst a flurry of Transient Orca tail lobs and crying scavenging glaucous gulls an eagle appeared from nowhere, plucked a piece of sealion meat from the surface, dodged harassing seagulls and commenced eating the meat from his talons in flight – I was impressed – 4/7/14, 4 mile NE of Active Pass
