Debbi Fincher of the SJI Prevention Coalition would like your calendar submissions for their family-friendly summer events calendar. Here she is with more…
Hello Everyone!
Here we are preparing for yet another amazing summer, filled with activities to engage our youth and families! The San Juan Island Prevention Coalition has sponsored this free calendar for over 7 years now! Local families and visitors alike have found this calendar to be a very useful tool. Our goal is to help keep our youth connected with their community and engaged in fun, exciting and interesting activities over the summer.
Please send us your:
- Activity Title
- Date
- Time
- Age Group
- Cost
- Contact Info
Please pass this on to anyone you know that would like to add their activities for our youth and families this summer, 2014! This is a FREE service we are providing to our community. As you know, this calendar is only as good as the information on it… Thank you for your time and help to get all the activities listed for this coming summer 🙂
In the past, we have had hard copies available at the San Juan Island Prevention Coalition booth at the annual Children’s Festival, (this year May 3rd). NEW this year, we will share a PDF format file via email with our Coalition partners including the San Juan Island School District and ask them to share it with all their families. Anyone can get the 2014 calendar from our website, too! Extra hard copies have been made available in the past at various businesses in town. Let us know if you’d like to offer them at your business this year, too! All printing costs are covered by the San Juan Island Prevention Coalition. (Thank you SJIPC!)
We look forward to getting your summer activity info soon. We will go to print in April and we need time to input your data. Please respond by April 18th or sooner if you have the information. We appreciate it!
We have a high school student earning some Dollars for Scholars hours this year for her help with some data entry (Thank you YasminJ)! We welcome community collaboration. Do you know a student that would like to volunteer with us? They can have fun at our Children’s Festival booth helping with our jump rope activity, write articles on the SJIPC and other events coming up. Please spread the word!
“Like” us on Facebook and look for our upcoming events on our website www.sjipc.org.
Mark your calendar and watch for more info on the FREE Community “Spring Swing ” Dance featuring The One More Time Band, family friendly, an alcohol-free event, for ALL AGES on Sunday, April 27th 3:00 – 5:00 pm at the Mullis Center sponsored by ROCK SOLID Youth Group and the San Juan Island Prevention Coalition.
Thanks again for your time and help to make this all come together! Here’s to a great summer…
Please reply to the email address below directly with your information. I’ve attached last year’s copy (pdf) so you can see the format. Thanks again!
