San Juan Island Grange #966 continues its 2015 Spring Lecture Series with a program on Farm and Agricultural Land Taxation on Thursday May 28, 2015 at the Grange Hall. The program begins at 7:00 pm, preceded by a potluck at 6:00 pm—all are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Running a farm and getting a tax benefit for the trouble is not difficult, but some paperwork is required. John Kulseth, the San Juan County Assessor, will talk about the challenges of applying for and maintaining farm and agricultural land status at the San Juan Island Grange Hall on May 28 as part of the Grange’s ongoing community forum program.
