Drought & Water Conservation Presented by Linda Lyshall
The Whale Museum is pleased to welcome Linda Lyshall as part of the 2015 Summer Lecture Series on Friday, August 7th at 6:30 p.m. The lecture will focus on Drought & Water Conservation in the San Juan Islands.
Linda Lyshall is the District Manager for the San Juan Islands Conservation District. She has a long-held passion for natural resource conservation and over a decade of experience implementing conservation projects and programs with state and local government. Prior to her work with the Conservation District, she initiated the King County Cities Climate Collaboration (K4C) to help empower local climate action.

The Whale Museum is located in Friday Harbor at 62 First St. N. Founded in 1976, The Whale Museum’s mission is to promote stewardship of whales and the Salish Sea ecosystem through education and research. In addition to providing exhibits, the Museum also provides programs including the Marine Naturalist Training, Orca Adoption Program, Soundwatch Boater Education, San Juan Islands Marine Mammal Stranding Network, and the Whale Hotline.
