Upcoming Salish Sea Benefit Concert with Dave McGraw and Mandy Fer on September 17 at Brickworks in Friday Harbor
Join Friends of the San Juans for an evening of music on September 17 with Dave McGraw and Mandy Fer while supporting environmental protection and preservation in the San Juan Islands and Salish Sea. Proceeds will support the many programs of Friends, including their latest initiative to designate the Salish Sea as a Particularly Sensitive Sea Area (PSSA).
Dave and Mandy are internationally-acclaimed songwriters who call San Juan Island home. Their latest album, Maritime, was recorded on the island and captures a moment in time and place from this special archipelago.
“The natural beauty and community spirit of the San Juans inspires us to do what we do and we’re thrilled to be teaming up with Friends of the San Juans to help raise awareness of the importance of a healthy Salish Sea! We are all so very fortunate to live here and should never take this place for granted. The islands are our heart and soul,” said Dave McGraw.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. at Brickworks (150 Nichols Street, Friday Harbor) for complimentary drinks, hors d’oeuvres and social time. Music starts at 7:15. Admission is $15.00. Purchase tickets at http://musicforsalishsea.bpt.me/.
